16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign that takes place annually from 25th November to 10th December.

The 16 Day of Activism campaign serves as a platform to highlight the urgency of addressing Gender-based violence remains a pervasive issue globally, affecting women and girls of all ages, backgrounds and socio-economic statuses.

This year’s theme harps on the importance of proactive investment in strategies and initiatives aimed at preventing gender-based violence.

To address the root causes of violence, creating safer environments, and promoting gender equality, Yesfm’s Oluwasemiloore Ige Spoke to a Gender and relationships expert Olaide Fatayo ,who emphasized on the accelerate efforts in the fight against gender-based violence.

According to Fatayo , by investing in prevention strategies, we can create lasting change and contribute to building a world where every woman and girl lives free from the threat of violence.
