Nigerians have voiced strong disapproval following reports that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has allegedly raised the pump price of petrol to eight hundred and fifty- five naira per litre.
In Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, NNPCL retail outlets reportedly adjusted their fuel prices from five hundred and sixty-eight naira per litre to the new rate while the independent marketers sale it between nine hundred and one thousand naira causing widespread concern among residents.

A public affairs analyst, Mr Okanlawon Olanrewaju urged the federal government to be honest and transparent in its approach to the fuel subsidy policy, emphasizing the need for clarity and straightforward communication.
Meanwhile,The Senate has postponed the public hearing for the alleged sabotage in the petroleum industry.The Senate explained that the hearing was postponed for wider consultations with stakeholders whose input and participation would add value to the conclusion of the investigative hearing.
