The West African Examinations
Council, WAEC, has released the results of the 2026 Computer-Based WASSCE for School
Candidates, with over one million candidates obtaining credits and above in a minimum of five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

Announcing the results in Lagos, Head of WAEC Nigeria National Office, Dr. Amos Dangut, said this represents one point four two percent decrease compared to 2025.

A total of over one point nine million candidates from more than twenty-four thousand schools enrolled for the examination across Nigeria, Benin Republic, Cote d’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea sat the examination.

He added that, WAEC withheld results of some candidates over examination malpractice.
