Today is Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Nigeria

The importance of celebrating Armed Forces can never be understated, the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day (AFCRD) is a day set aside annually every January 15 to honour our fallen heroes in the military who paid the ultimate price while defending the unity, and sovereignty of the country.

Chief of defence staff (CDS), Christopher Musa has asked the Nigerian Army (NA) troops to remain resolute in defeating all security threats in the country.

Musa said the efforts and dedication of the troops in defending the country would never be in vain, expressing appreciation to the troops who sustained injuries while discharging their duties to the nation.

In commemoration of the day, 101.7 Yesfm today remember those who volunteered, sacrificed, served, fought, and died, for our freedom. We thank you, and we salute you as we salute those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We will never forget. We will remember you.
