Kayode Egbetokun has been replaced as Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, with Assistant Inspector-General Tunji Disu taking over the top position, a presidency source confirmed to ARISE News on Tuesday, 24th FEB, 2026.

The source confirmed the development, stating that an official announcement would be made shortly. “AIG Tunji Disu is the new IGP. Confirmed,” the source said, adding that the information had received “double confirmation.”
